Black Eyed Pea Chili

I found these black eyed peas at Publix that are ready to cook with no soaking. Yummly had an easy and great tasting recipe for Black Eyed Pea Chili.

You just boil them for 10-20 minutes, it couldn’t be easier. The only ingredient I changed in the recipe was the olive oil, I omitted it. The recipe doesn’t need it and olive oil is not healthy, it’s just 14 grams of fat with virtually no nutritional value. They will tell you it is heart healthy but that is Fake News!

Try this recipe, you won’t be disappointed. It is so easy to make and it’s delicious too. The Yummly app seems to be an awesome food app. I was always reluctant to get it because they want your email and force you to get the app and register and it just seemed a little pushy but you have to do it if you want access so I broke down and finally signed up and it seems to be worth it. I was able to register for vegan recipes. The amount of recipes they have seems endless and it will be a great resource for my blog.
